STATEMENT OF FAITH

I BELIEVE IN THE TRIUNE ONE GOD, GOD ALMIGHTY, THE GOD OF ABRAHAM, ISAAC AND JACOB, MAKER & SUSTAINER OF HEAVEN AND EARTH: GOD THE FATHER - GOD THE SON - GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT. THERE IS NO OTHER GOD.  GOD IS ABSOLUTE WAY.

I BELIEVE THE BIBLE IS THE INERRANT, INFALLIBLE WORD OF GOD; NOT JUST IN THE ORIGINAL AUTOGRAPHS BUT PRESERVED BY HIM DOWN THROUGH THE AGES TO THIS DAY, THAT NOT ONE JOT OR TITTLE SHALL PASS AWAY 'TIL ALL BE FULFILLED. I BELIEVE THE VARIOUS TRANSLATIONS ARE GOD'S GIFT TO US SINCE, HAVING PACKED HIS INFINITE WISDOM INTO OUR FINITE LANGUAGE, THEY ARE NEEDFUL FOR OUR GREATER INSIGHT(S). GOD IS ABSOLUTE TRUTH.

JESUS THE CHRIST IS MY RISEN LIVING SAVIOUR AND LORD. HE IS MY MASTER - BROTHER - FRIEND - ADVOCATE - INTERCESSOR - COUNSELLOR - GUIDE - PROVIDER - STRENGTH - AND REFUGE. BY HIS BLOOD I AM CLEANSED. THE LIFE I LIVE IS CHRIST LIVING IN/ON/FOR/THROUGH/TO/WITH AND AROUND ME; NOT BY MIGHT, NOR BY POWER, BUT BY HIS SPIRIT. I CONSIDER MYSELF JEWISH BY ADOPTION BY HAVING BEEN ADOPTED/GRAFTED INTO THE FAMILY OF ABRAHAM THROUGH JESUS. GOD IS ABSOLUTE LIFE.

I BELIEVE IN THE VIRGIN BIRTH OF JESUS THE CHRIST - HIS SACRIFICE ON THE CROSS FOR OUR (MY) SINS - HIS DEATH, BURIAL, DESCENT INTO HELL, RESURRECTION AND ASCENSION INTO HEAVEN. I BELIEVE IN THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS - THE COMMUNION OF SAINTS - THE PRIESTHOOD OF BELIEVERS - THE HOLY/UNIVERSAL CHRISTIAN CHURCH (ALL TRUE BELIEVERS) - THE GREAT COMMISSION AND THE ETERNAL SECURITY OF BELIEVERS. I BELIEVE IN THE (POST-TRIBULATION) PRE-WRATH RAPTURE OF THE CHURCH - THE SECOND COMING OF JESUS THE CHRIST - THE RESURRECTION OF THE BODY - THE JUDGEMENT UPON UNBELIEVERS - THE CONSCIOUS, AGONIZING DEATH EVERLASTING IN HELL (SEPARATED FROM GOD) OF THE UNBELIEVING AND THE LIFE EVERLASTING IN HEAVEN (IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD) FOR THE BELIEVERS. GOD IS ABSOLUTE LOVE.

OUR PASTOR'S TESTIMONY
.
The only time I can remember being in a church with my father when I was a kid was when I was about 4 or 5 years old. It was not a church meeting of any kind - I have come to believe it was most likely a union meeting. The event, however, was of extreme importance to me because I sensed an awesome presence that I had to know.

I was a very independent kid and was allowed that independence. I began attending church on my own. I not only attended, I went through their curriculum and catechisms diligently. You name the Denomination (and even some cults) and I've been one of their star pupils. I also attended every rally, camp meeting, crusade and revival I could get to. In the process, I answered just about every “altar call” I ever heard. My prayer was always, “Oh Lord God, give me Jesus!” But nothing changed.

Then, when I was two months shy of age 13, I was on a camping trip with some friends. I woke up before dawn and could not get back to sleep so I decided to take a walk around the lake. About 50 feet down the trail I found a tract lying in the path. I picked it up and began reading it as I walked. Something in that tract “clicked” and gave the Holy Spirit the opportunity to complete my understanding and quicken my commitment to the Lord. Just as I finished reading the tract I came to a grassy clearing with a natural “log altar”. Kneeling, this time my prayer was, “Oh Lord God, You gave me Jesus 2,000 years ago! Now, I give You me!”

At that moment, the sun came up and hit me right between the shoulder blades. I felt lighter than air. My burden was lifted and I have never been the same since. The date was May 16, 1948 - both Israel and I were born again. Appropriately, the name of the lake was “Mud Lake”.

Sixty years later, I still go through all of my “junk mail” looking for those “no postage required” return envelopes. Why? I use them to mail someone I don't know (and will probably never meet) a tract! What God has done for me, He will do for others.

Yes, I have wandered and erred from time-to-time. But God is faithful (II Tim 2:13) and Him only do I serve.

And He (Jesus) said unto them (me), “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15 (KJV)

OUR PASTOR'S VISION
.
I SEE MYSELF AS ONE WHOSE CALLING IS TO PROMOTE AN EFFECTIVE, DYNAMIC, EVANGELISTIC CHRISTIAN LIFE (AS OPPOSED TO "DOING" LIFE-STYLE EVANGELISM), AND TO ENCOURAGE CHRISTIANS TO BE NATURALLY OUT-GOING AND BOLD ABOUT THEIR FAITH. I BELIEVE THE LORD HAS SPECIFICALLY TRAINED AND EQUIPPED ME TO ACCOMPLISH THE TASK THROUGH THE BALANCED APPLICATION OF (COMPUTER-ASSISTED) ORGANIZATION/ADMINISTRATION, OFFICE/PROJECT MANAGEMENT, PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT AND TEACHING/PREACHING SKILLS.

THE PERRY MASON SCHOOL of THEOLOGY…

Perry Mason believed every witness was telling as much of the truth as they knew (or as much as they were willing to admit).  When two witnesses seemed to contradict one another, he assumed there must be a “third truth” that would make them compatible.  When he discovered that third truth, he would solve the case!

Consider, then, the argument over “Eternal Security” vs “Conditional Security” (“Once saved, always saved” vs “It’s possible to lose one’s salvation”)…  both sides seem to have Scripture supporting their position.

Now, applying Perry Mason exegesis to the question, we see that the opposing propositions are merely opposite sides of the same coin – the “third truth” is that it is simply a matter of perspective.

From man’s perspective, because he has ‘free will’ it is conceivable man can shake his grubby little fist in the face of God and say, “I don’t want Your salvation anymore!”

God’s perspective is, “You’re Mine.  I bought you with a price.  I will not let you go!”

I believe God.

[And the Lord said...  "Behold, Behemoth..."]

EONS ERASED

Dinosaurs are not extinct.  Dinosaurs are not extinct!  Dinosaurs are living, breathing, walking, creeping, crawling the earth today.  They're all over the place.  You have seen them.  We call them "lizards" - "reptiles".  Itty bitty guys by comparison.  These relatively "itty bitty guys" are dinosaurs?  Sure...   Fact: reptiles continue to grow for as long as they live.  They don't start out little; grow up to be adults; then stay that way until they die.  No...  they continue to grow as long as they live.  For example; alligators grow about a foot a year - they live about 20 years - and they get to be about 20 feet long.

Think about this:  before the time of Noah's flood, scientists (and  the  bible)  say  that  the  earth  was  surrounded,  and protected,  by a water vapor canopy which shielded the earth from hazardous cosmic radiation.  This water vapor canopy also resulted in a world-wide ideal climate...  perfect for growing things.  Not only did this give man a life-span of nearly a thousand years, but everything else flourished as well.  You have all seen pictures in your biology books of jungle-like conditions?  Huge trees with giant leaves and so on?  Ok...  Give a lizard a thousand years to continue to grow and what've you got?  Dinosaurs!  Consider another picture you've probably seen... of a little lizard that runs along on his hind legs?  Well, give that little guy a thousand years to grow and, Voila!  Tyrannosaurus rex!!!

Also, think about this; legends of fire-breathing dragons.  A 50 or  60  foot  iguana   (by  the  way,  look up  "iguana"  and "iguanodon"  in  your  Webster’s...  their  descriptions  are identical except for size and age)  a 50 or 60 foot iguana is going to consume tons of vegetation per day.  We've already established there was plenty.  Add  to  that,  thousands  of gallons  of  water and  who  knows  how much  stomach acid and what've   you   got?    A   churning,   swirling, fermenting methane-gas-producing mash of enormous proportions.  All that gas probably made him steam from the nostrils...  giving the appearance of fire-breathing.  And, I can imagine this: suppose he's munching up some veggies, gravel and all; and suppose those rocks include a little bit of flint; and suppose, just about then, he belches!  Ffffwhoommmm!!!  A fire-breathing dragon, for sure!!!

I also find it interesting to note that many older Hollywood movies featuring "prehistoric" monsters used to be made by taking close-ups of common, living, reptiles found scurrying around in the back lot.

Now, Noah was no dummy... his ark was big, but, if you were going to be on board with 2 of every living creature for a year, would you take little ones?  Babies?  Or, big, old ones?  He took little ones!  And, after the flood, there was no longer the water vapor canopy necessary to give them those long "dinosaur-producing" life-spans.

Our scientific community admits to some problems with their dating techniques.  For example: try explaining how, or why, a 20-year-old living tree checks out to be 50 to 135 thousand years old!?  I'm convinced that Carl Sagan's "biilllyuns 'n biilllyuns" of years are a figment of Carl Sagan's imagination!  I'm convinced that,  some day,  scientists are going to discover that this planet  is  about  6 thousand  years  old;  dinosaurs  are  not extinct; and that everything God has said since He said, "In the beginning..." is true! And it may be sooner than we think.

Isaiah 46:10

II Peter 3:3-6
