...Go into all the world and preach the gospel to the whole creation.

Give thanks to the Lord, call on His name; make known among the nations what He has done. Sing to Him, sing praise to Him; tell of all His wonderful acts. Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice. Look to the Lord and His strength; seek His face always. Remember the wonders He has done, His miracles, and the judgments He pronounced  (1 Chron 16:8-12)       So they prepared the Passover. When the hour came, Jesus and His apostles reclined at the table. And He said to them, "I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. For I tell you, I will not eat it again until it finds fulfillment in the kingdom of God." After taking the cup, He gave thanks and said, "Take this and divide it among you. For I tell you I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes." And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me."  (Luke 22:13-19)   All they asked was that we should continue to remember the poor, the very thing I was eager to do.  (Gal 2:10)    Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoners, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.  (Heb 13:3)   Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.  (Heb 13:7)   remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins.  (Jas 5:20)   Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.  (Heb 13:8)

God is perfect.  Perfection demands perfection.

Jesus said, "Be ye perfect, even as your Father in Heaven is perfect."

None of us are perfect.

Life is like you are hand-writing a letter - you want it to be personal.  It’s a really important letter - you want it to be perfect.

It's going pretty well until you make a mistake.  So you try using an eraser but it smudges.  You crumple it up, throw it away, and vow to try harder - to be more careful - to be perfect.

You start over.  And it isn't long before you make another mistake.  You try white-out but it doesn't really cover up the blemish - it just draws attention to it.  You crumple it up, throw it away, and vow to be perfect from now on...

You make another false start.  This time you slap a piece of correction tape over the error but it, too, really looks bad.

Then Jesus comes along and says, "I will take all of your mistakes (sins) and blemishes upon Myself and I will be crumpled up and thrown away for you - in your place - and I will make you a new creature - perfect! - if you are only willing to accept it and trust Me to make it so."

I am confident that [insert name here] is in Heaven with Jesus right now…

Not because he was a good man - even though he was.

Not because he worked hard - even though he did.

Not because he served the community - even though he did.

Not because he loved his family - even though he did.

Not because he helped people - even though he did.

Not because he went to church - even though he did.

Not because he never sinned – because he did, you know – we all do!

And not because he was perfect (because, in and of himself, he wasn't) but because he trusted Christ to make it so!

It is as simple as that – it’s not complicated – trust Christ to save you and He will.

Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  Romans 10:9 (AMP)
