Take another look…                                                                                                                                              September, 2006

What you should know about our web site  ( www.ratondisciples.com )  is that even though it is representative of our little church here in Raton, New Mexico it also tells a lot about me.  Much of the information is really very personal.  Did you read the "God Sightings"?  Those are all actual experiences that I have had.  Did you read the "Humor" page?  Every bit of that (except for the cartoons) is either more actual experiences that I have had or original jokes that I personally made up.  Did you read the "Statement of Faith"?  That is exactly what I firmly believe - the church has accepted it as their own.  Did you read my testimony on the "Statement" page?  That will give you an idea of how long I have "been about my Father's business".

My (earthly) heritage is mostly English (Cornwall - "Cousin Jack") with a bit of Scotch and Irish thrown in.  I was born in Butte, Montana and my folks split up when I was still a baby.  My Mom & Stepdad moved to Seattle, Washington when I was just going into the second grade while my Dad & Stepmom stayed in Butte.  So... I went to school in Seattle and spent my summers in Butte, thus growing up in both places.

I was single 25 years;  married 25 years;  and am working on being "single again" for 25 years (am in year 21 going on year 22 of that).  I have two Daughters - see the "hard luck" story on my "Humor" page - yeah, I joke about it but I love 'em dearly.  Both are fine, strong Christians.  Both live in the Denver, Colorado area.  I have two Grandchildren, Ben & Anna, and they are also good Christian kids.  Ben just turned 21 and Anna will be 15 in December.  They both have achieved their "black belt" in Karate.  Ben is studying Chemical Engineering at Colorado School of Mines.

I have pasted some pictures of myself below…  I think you will be able to tell which one reflects my trip to Israel and which one reflects my two trips to Australia.  Also see if you can figure out which one my older Daughter drew of me.  These are all in chronological order.

What else can I say?  How about...  “Enjoy your GOoD day!”  Cleve Bishop

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . I have told everyone the good news that You forgive people's sins. I have not been timid about it, as You well know, O Lord. I have not kept this good news hidden in my heart, but have proclaimed Your loving-kindness and truth to all the congregation. [Ps 40:9-10]
